WHAT IS PREVENTATIVE CARE AND HOW CAN I DO IT AT HOME?

Dental treatment aimed at preserving good oral health is known as preventive dentistry. It entails procedures including routine examinations, cleanings, and instructing patients on how to properly brush and floss. It is significant because it aids in the prevention of gum disease, cavities, and other dental problems.

HOW CAN I IMPROVE MY GENERAL HYGIENE AT HOME?

By using mouthwash, flossing regularly, brushing your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, and abstaining from tobacco products, you can improve your oral hygiene. Maintaining dental health can also be facilitated by eating a balanced diet and avoiding sugary snacks.

CAN DIET IMPACT ORAL HEALTH?

Flossing removes plaque and food particles from between the teeth and under the gumline, areas where a toothbrush can’t reach. Regular flossing helps prevent gum disease, tooth decay, and can also reduce bad breath.

WHY IS FLOSSING AND BRUSHING IMPORTANT?

The main cause of tooth loss, periodontal disease, can be avoided by brushing your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and flossing. Periodontal disease-causing bacteria have the ability to enter your bloodstream and negatively affect your general health.

WHY DO I NEED X-RAYS? ISN’T THE RADIATION HARMFUL?

Dental x-rays provide useful data that your dentist can utilize to evaluate the state of your oral health. With the use of x-rays, your dentist can see what's happening beneath the surface of your teeth and gums.
